We’ve been fawning over Y2K trends for more than a hot minute. Baby braids, middle parts, butterfly clips—these looks, among others, have been dominating the beauty scene. But this fall, we’re seeing those early aughts moments moving into the background. So what retro renaissance will take its place? TikTokers already have an idea. Think Tumblr, first-gen iPhones, and emo music. That’s right: indie sleaze style is back.
